    Wave and Tai Neke, Tai Ora funding applications open

    Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu offer significant funding opportunities each year. Applications for both Wave 18 and Tai Neke, Tai Ora investment streams are open now and close on Wednesday, 14 February 14.

    Wave Funding

    Wave funding is a social innovation model that gives whānau the agency to realise their own aspirations. Applications are open to individuals, whānau, community groups and businesses in Te Waipounamu, Rēkohu Wharekauri and Rakiura who has an  initiative or kaupapa that seeks to support them and their hapori to thrive.

    Tai Neke, Tai Ora funding

    This fund is for individuals or groups that want to support whānau wellbeing and connection to te ao Māori. Tai Neke, Tai Ora is a Whānau Ora approach to whānau hauora that focuses on the four aspects of wellbeing as outlined in Te Whare Tapa Whā. Taha Tinana (physical), Taha Hinengaro (mental and emotional), Taha Whānau (social), and Taha Wairua (spiritual).


    Roadshow 2024

    As in previous years, there will be roadshows held throughout Te Waipounamu where whānau can ask questions and seek guidance on their ideas and how to apply. Click on the links to register for your closest town. There is also an online session.
