    Ki a Ngawaina Joy Shorrock
    Nau mai, haere mai rā
Ki tō whānau o Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua

Last week Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua officially welcomed Ngawaina Joy Shorrock to her new role as Pou Mauri Ora | Cultural manager.

Joy is well known for her roles as trustee and tumuaki at Te Āwhina Marae, and many spoke today of her outstanding work and her close connection to the marae and its people. There was sadness that she was moving on, but happiness that her new role will continue her association with marae and the whānau across the rohe.

Joy’s mahi will play a significant role for the rūnanga as it continues to meet the aspirations of whānau now and in the future.
